MagX1

The MagX1 has an innovative modular design; it is a fit-all, flexible, low-cost meter all at the same time. The transmitter consists of one low-cost basic unit plus optional modules according to the end-user’s requirements. Each module is in fact a small electronic board, the size of a large stamp, which can be freely installed and removed from the main board in seconds.

The advantages of this system are obvious, for example:

  • You do not pay for options you do not want or need.
  • You can “build” a flow meter exactly as per your requirements.
  • Additional module options can be added later, long after installation of the flow meter. Arkon would
    simply ship a module board. All systems are plug-and-play with auto-detection, with nothing else but a quick software activation of the module.
  • Extremely simple service and replacement procedures. A small “test-box” can quickly confirm whether or not a module is working correctly.
  • You can now keep stock of spare module boards, adding to the speed at which service can be
    provided to any flow meter.
  • Multi-language menus, for use in different
    languages.

  • Control of the transmitter with push buttons, without having to remove or unscrew any covers, lids, etc, while IP67 is still guaranteed.
  • 6 push buttons for easy and intuitive local operation of the flow meter menu’s.
  • Easy disassembly of the transmitter housing for servicing purposes with a special spanner (delivered with each flowmeter), which will also protect the meter from unauthorized access.
  • Data downloading and communication does not require disassembly of the housing. No removal of large covers or lids is necessary. When using RS485, Wireless or IRDA communication, data-downloading and communication is provided with IP67 protection.
  • 3 cable glands for data-output and power supply+ 2 communication slots + 1 main opening for cabling between the sensor and transmitter; all IP67 guaranteed.
  • Universal power supply unit 100-240VAC +/- 10%, 50-60Hz. 24VDC is also available.

  • For remote versions, the cable length between sensor and transmitter can be up to 200m. On request, cable lengths of up to even 500m can be offered.  A small electronic board installed in the sensor makes this possible by converting the sensor signal into a digital signal at the sensor.
  • The flow meter will be equipped with an automatic self-diagnostic tool for the sensor. A problem with the communication signal between sensor and transmitter will be reported on the transmitter display.
  • The sensor has automatic temperature compensation.
  • The sensor has indicative temperature measurement.
  • The MagX1 flowmeter has empty pipe detection.
