Arkon staff will always assume that any flowmeters you order will be installed in an environment that is not damaging to Arkon flowmeters. This means, for example:
1. That ambient temperature limitations, as indicated on our literature, are being respected and that the flowmeter transmitter is never exposed to direct sunlight or other heat-sources.
2. That neither the sensor, nor the electronics or any of the cabling is exposed to potential mechanical damage like shocks, heavy weights or pressure in excess of reasonable limits.
3. That neither the sensor, nor the electronics or any of the cabling is exposed to aggressive materials, liquids or gasses. We are assuming that we can count on common-sense when it comes to material compatibility. As a manufacturer of flowmeters, we are mostly focused on what happens inside the flowmeter, not outside. We are assuming, that, for example, it is common knowledge that carbon steel and aluminium do not go well together with aggressive acids.
In case you believe an application might be out of the ordinary, we expect you to advice us about the specifics of the installation on your enquiry or order, to enable Arkon staff to consider if the requested products are indeed suitable. If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact our Arkon Sales Department.
