History
Arkon Instruments Ltd. was established in the UK some 60 years ago, manufacturing water quality instruments, open channel flow meters and flumes. Arkon was taken over by the RTM Group Ltd., Altrincham, UK in approx. 1992. The name was changed to Arkon Flow Systems. Arkon was also appointed as agent for several other overseas companies such as Turbo Werk from Germany who manufactured electromagnetic flow meters. In 2003, the Arkon Flow Systems division was moved to the Czech Republic where the manufacturing plant for their range of electromagnetic flow meters is also situated. The holding company for Arkon Flow Systems is RTM-EXPOLINK s.r.o., Brno, Czech Republic, who were also the Overseas Business Development Office for the RTM-GROUP UK.
Arkon product range
Arkon product range Arkon manufactures a wide range of pulsed DC electromagnetic flow meters, such as: Mag910 - Compact or Remote version, Mag910E - Compact or Remote version, Checkmag - Remote version only. Arkon can also offer pulsed AC magnetic flow meters for using on very difficult applications such as mine slurries, paper and pulp, and demineralised water. Furthermore, Arkon offers the Channelmag CM electromagnetic flowmeter for open channel and the Channelmag PM for partly-filled pipe applications. A low cost range of flow indicators (Ball Flow Indicators, Flapper Indicatos, etc) are also available.
